Training Program on Enhancing the Capacity of OCSB Officers in Operational Practices, Policy Enforcement, and the Promotion and Regulation of Sugarcane Farmers and Sugar Mills
On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the Department of Farm Mechanics, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, organized a training workshop titled
“Capacity Development for Officers of the Office of the Cane and Sugar Board on Understanding Operational Guidelines, Policy Implementation, and Promotion of Sugarcane Farmers and Sugar Mill Regulation.”
This activity was conducted under Phase II of the Project to Elevate Thailand’s Cane and Sugar Industry Toward Global Agricultural Leadership and was held in the form of expert discussions and participatory exchanges.
The training focused on two main topics:
- “Processes and Strategies for the Effective Promotion of Sugarcane Farmers”
- “Effective Promotion and Regulatory Oversight of Sugar Mills”
The objective of the workshop was to strengthen the understanding and capacity of officers in implementing national policy directions and ensuring efficient support and supervision of both sugarcane farmers and sugar mills.
